Glance of Paris

This is the first thing I made using GIMP… It is like Photoshop but much more professionally designed (I guess). Photoshop is more user-friendly. It took me over an hour to figure out some things like copy, crop, layering, moving, etc… It's a polaroid of the Eiffel Tower because I love Paris.

When using Gimp, I thought it would be as easy as Photoshop, just crop, copy, then paste and resize. However, it turned out harder. When I tried to crop it at first, I couldn't find the crop tool. After I finally did, I tried to paste the cropped Eiffel Tower onto the polaroid and resize. The pasting was easy, however when I tried to resize the picture to fit the polaroid window, it resized the whole thing, including the polaroid frame. So I had to open up another window and crop then paste, and redo this process until it was the size of the polaroid frame. There probably was an easier way to do this simple picture, however since this is my first time there were many difficulties. It made me appreciate Photoshop, more.
